Overview

Abor is located in Ekumfi in Central Ghana. People in Abor are primarily dedicated to farming, trading and fishing; the typical house is made of mud and bricks. The people in this community have access to primary education, but if they want to pursue secondary and tertiary education, they need to travel to the city. When visiting the community, they expressed that their top needs are improving the sanitation projects, access to household toilet facilities, and access to credit. Global Brigades is currently working with Medical brigades in Abor and seeking collaboration with local partners to implement water, sanitation, healthcare and economic projects as part of Global Brigades’ strategic plan in Ghana.
