HEALTH CARE ACCESS:

People in Santa Familia do not have access to a health post in their community, however, they can go to San Ignacio, which is a community nearby that takes about 15 minutes by vehicle to all services. San ignacio system is not good, takes all day. People tend to look for private health care, but it is too expensive

It also needs improve health post, infrastructure and access to frequency of care/personnel. Limited spaces for large population. Most of the time, public polyclinic doesn’t have necessary medication. So get subscriptions and have to buy in a private pharmacy.

DENTAL CARE  ACCESS:

There’s no Dental access inside Santa Familia community, which makes it more difficult for the community members due to the high prices of care and, just like for some hospital and emergency visits, they must leave the community for this care.

Working closely with the Medical Program, the Dental Program provides fillings, extractions, and fluoride treatments as a standard part of Medical Brigades. Most community members do not have regular access to dental care due to the lack of a dentist within a reasonable distance.
