Join Global Brigades in Supporting Relief Efforts in Haiti!

We extend our most sincere thoughts and prayers to the victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti.  Global Brigades will be donating to Giving Children Hope to support their relief efforts. Giving Children Hope is a reputable nonprofit organization that specializes in emergency relief.  We had the opportunity to work with them in Myanmar during the hurricanes and we are confident that donations will go to towards providing excellent medical relief.

We encourage you to join us in supporting Giving Children Hope, by clicking on the link below:

On Monday, December 14, the Water Brigades team, along with 18 students from DePaul University and 90 community members, finished their first full-scale water project to date. WB has been working in Zurzular since August of 2009 with groups from four universities. In a grand total of 10 work days, the quantity of water flowing into the water tank has been increased and over 80 homes have been connected to the water system, some of which have never had running water in their homes. The WB team is very proud of this milestone and the hard work done by our students and the community members. Congratulations to all those who were involved!

DePaul University GWB, led by Dan Parrillo, is helping us start the winter brigade season on the right foot. The group of 17 students has raised $4,000 which is enough to complete the water project in El Zurzular during their brigade in December. Congratulations, DePaul!
