Global Health Summer Internship
This summer, join us for 3 weeks to support projects focused on improving access to health care in rural communities through capacity building.Interns will be exposed to a wide array of community inverventions as they shadow local staff and community leaders helping to measure the impact of our programs. Interns will also participate in the training of Community Health Workers who are the stewards of our communities wellness year-round.
Interns will participate in:
- Rapid Needs Assesments to learn about communities needs and assets
- Community visits at different stages of development to get a holistic picture of projects and challenges that arise
- Engaging lectures from professors around Global Health issues, regional medical infrastructure and how to work with communities to build sustainable development projects
- Household surveys to build our understanding of the health issues they experience and how families benefit from our programs
Shadowing Community Health Workers in during home visits and in the clinical setting, measuring our impact as an organization
