Microfinance Brigades at Penn State University is a discipline of Global Brigades, the world's largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. The PSU chapter systematically works with more than 300 other university groups around the world to deliver and implement one of nine skill-based programs that benefit more than 130,000 Honduran, Panamanian, and Ghanaian community members annually. Microfinance Brigades provides rural community members in Honduras and Ghana a community banking system, with access to loans, financial literacy programs, and education to increase production and foster a culture of savings and growth.

Annual Chapter Contribution
Jan 01, 2017 - Dec 31, 2017

Fundraise with your Global Business Brigades chapter on campus to meet the minimum $1,500 USD annual chapter contribution. The annual chapter contribution directly supports the Community Investment Fund, which enables year-round economic development in partner communities carried out by our local teams. The Community Investment Fund is a critical component to GB’s Sustainable Transition Plan. Once a partner community has met specific health and economic development goals and brigades are no longer necessary, GB transitions projects fully to the community and offers follow-up with our local staff. The more you fundraise, the more impact we make together!
