In 2011, Global Brigades introduced the Campus Chairperson (CC) position to help make strategic decisions for the organization and be a major voice of feedback on local and international programming to take Global Brigades to the next level. What began on 20 campuses in the U.S. just a few years ago has now grown to include nearly 100 CCs across the world.

Chairperson Responsibilities:

1. Unite Chapters

Facilitate collaboration between chapters on your campus by holding regular meetings with all chapter leaders.

2. Empower Leaders

Strengthen leadership and club governance on campus and support leadership transitions.

3. Grow the Movement

Identify leaders on your campus and nearby campuses to start new chapters.

4.  Represent Your Campus

Be your university's voice to Global Brigades, Inc.

5. Build Awareness

Lead fun and educational events on campus and in your community to raise awareness of global health and economic disparities.

How to Become a Campus Chairperson

Once a Campus Chairperson is identified at your university, that individual will need to submit the following Campus Chairperson application in order to receive formal recognition by Global Brigades. Applicants will be asked to submit nominations from all chapter presidents on their campus to complete the formal chairperson approval process.

Campus Chairperson Conference

Global Brigades is excited to welcome Campus Chairpersons to Milwaukee, WI this August for the Campus Chairperson Conference.  For more details, check out the 2017 CCC page

Annual Initiatives

Each year, CCs will be involved in organizing regional student leadership conferences and hosting events for Global Brigades Week. These are some of our most exciting times of the year, turning our organization's string of short-term service projects into a year-round student movement.
