A Student Leadership Conference will take place on Saturday, April 25th, 2020 at Pennsylvania State University.
This Student Leadership Conference will bring together students, staff and volunteers primarily from the mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions of the United States to engage in a day filled with leadership training, presentations, breakout sessions and exciting discussions. Don’t miss out on an amazing opportunity to meet fellow student leaders, volunteers, GB staff members and the CEO of Global Brigades!
We are very excited to welcome Global Brigades Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Dr. Shital Vora.
Dr. Shital Vora is the Co-Founder and CEO of Global Brigades. She is pivotal in Global Brigades’ Human Resources and talent programs. Dr. Vora graduated with high honors in Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences as well as received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and her PhD in Orthopedics. In 2003, Dr. Vora completed her degree at Marquette University and established the first medical brigade club. She gives an empowering perspective on the history, growth and outlook of Global Brigades. We are honored to have Dr. Vora speak at our Student Leadership Conference. We hope you can join us for this exciting event!
Registration costs $15 per participant and the deadline to register for the Pennsylvania State University SLC is Saturday, April 18th, 2020.
The Student Leadership Conference will be hosted on the Pennsylvania State University campus in the Hetzel Union Building (HUB), Room 302.
Transportation & Lodging
Global Brigades is not able to provide transportation or lodging to conference attendees. However, we recommend the following for affordable accommodations: The Nittany Lion Inn (200 W Park Ave), The Penn Stater Hotel & Conference Center (215 Innovation Blvd), and the Holiday Inn (1925 Waddle Rd).
Global Brigades will provide a light breakfast and a full lunch for conference attendees. For attendees with allergies or special dietary restrictions, please let us know during registration and we will try our best to accommodate.
Global Brigades attire is encouraged, but not required.
