The 3rd annual Central Canada SLC will take place on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at McMaster University.
The conference will bring together volunteers, staff, and board members to engage in a day filled with leadership training, presentations, breakout sessions and discussions. Throughout the day we will focus on developing your role as a leader within Global Brigades, thinking critically about sustainable development, sharing best practices, and providing the latest updates from GB.
The deadline to register for the conference is January 1st, 2019 and your registration at the conference includes breakfast & lunch, a t-shirt, all conference materials and some other fun giveaways!
Please note that payments made for the registration fee for this conference are managed directly by the Dalhousie University Chapter, and are not managed by Global Brigades. Registration payments are not being made to a non-profit organization and are therefore not tax deductible. Global Brigades cannot be held responsible for the accountability or tracking of these payments.
This year’s Central Canada Student Leadership Conference will be held at McMaster University. Specific rooms TBA.
Conference attendees should organize their own transportation to and from the conference.
If required, accommodations should be organized by conference attendees. Accommodations with a McMaster student are available on a case by case basis (if this is of interest to you, please indicate on registration form)
Global Brigades will provide breakfast and lunch for conference attendees. For attendees with allergies or special dietary restrictions, please let us know in the registration form and we will do our best to accommodate. Group dinner at the cost of the attendee (location TBA).
Conference dress code is casual (GB clothing always encouraged!)

Network and share best practices in regards to recruitment, fundraising, ethically sharing your GB story, and how we can start new chapters of Global Brigades.

Reflect on your leadership style and develop your skills to strengthen GB on your campus.
|4:00pm||#GB365: Year Round Engagement
Take some time to reflect on what it means to be a global citizen and stay engaged year round.

Condense all that you’ve learned into some solid action steps moving forward.
