The 7th annual East Coast SLC will take place on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Dalhousie University.
The conference will bring together volunteers, staff, and board members to engage in a day filled with leadership training, presentations, breakout sessions and discussions. Throughout the day we will focus on developing your role as a leader within Global Brigades, thinking critically about sustainable development, sharing best practices, and providing the latest updates from GB.
The deadline to register for the conference is December 21st, 2018. Your 15.00 CAD registration fee includes breakfast, lunch, conference t-shirt, all conference materials and some other fun giveaways!
Please note that payments made for the registration fee for this conference are managed directly by the Dalhousie University Chapter, and are not managed by Global Brigades. Registration payments are not being made to a non-profit organization and are therefore not tax deductible. Global Brigades cannot be held responsible for the accountability or tracking of these payments.
This year’s East Coast Student Leadership Conference will be held at Dalhousie University in the McCain Arts Building.
Conference attendees should organize their own transportation to and from the conference.
Accommodations should be organized by conference attendees. If you’re interested, Global Brigades has has secured a block of rooms at the Atlantica Hotel Halifax for special discounted rates for event attendees that book before December 21st. To reserve a room, please call the hotel and request a room in the Dalhousie Global Brigades block (4 person rooms 115/night). Accommodations with a Dalhousie student are available on a case by case basis (if this is of interest to you, please reach out to email@example.com)
Global Brigades will provide breakfast and lunch for conference attendees. For attendees with allergies or special dietary restrictions, please let us know in the registration form and we will do our best to accommodate. Dinner is at the cost of conference attendees.
Conference dress code is casual (GB clothing always encouraged!)
