About us
Global Dental Brigades (GDB) is a secular, international network of volunteers who provide preventative and urgent dental care to communities in developing countries. Our current emphasis is in Honduras with our sister organization, Global Medical Brigades, where in 2008 we served more than 40,000 patients in remote villages without access to health care otherwise.
Global Dental Brigades is a program of Global Brigades, Inc., the world's largest student-led international relief organization. As a secular, California-based 501c3 nonprofit organization, our mission is to empower students and professionals to provide communities in developing nations with sustainable solutions that improve quality of life while respecting local culture. Currently more than 1,500 volunteers from 50 of our university clubs travel annually to provide health care, microenterprise development, and clean water systems to more than 50,000 beneficiaries in Central America, Ghana, India and Vietnam.
