Global Brigades is a student-led organization and works in a chapter-based model. Rather than sending one-off volunteers on brigades together, student leaders start a chapter on their university campus and mobilize their peers to go with them. Please follow the steps below to join an existing chapter on your campus or start a chapter.

1. Search for an Medical Brigades Chapter on Your Campus

Search for your university by selecting your country flag below. US Canada UK Germany Switzerland Ireland
  • If you found your university, select their chapter on Empowered.org and click “Volunteer” to apply to join their next brigade.
  • If you don’t see your school and are interested in starting an Medical Brigades chapter and leading you own brigade, please proceed to step 2.
